SALSERA CHRISTINA HAGGERTY

     Back before I barely dipped my toe in the Salsa pool I had seen the name Christina Haggerty advertised at the Salsa venues but at the time didn’t know who she was. I always remembered the name though because it so closely resembled that of Kris Hagerty who used to partner, teach and dance with WCS’er Sonny Watson. Remember those days? Tuesday nights at the Crest in Reseda, Sunday classes with Sonny and Kris, the SwingShift dance team?

     Swing dancer Kris dropped out of the dance scene long ago but Salsera Christina Haggerty is very much present and over the SoCal Salsa Scene. She’s got agazillion projects going on all at once including Jay Byam’s Salsa Extravaganza (Aug 15-17, Palm Springs) not to mention Salsa and Cha Cha classes all over town.
